We tested signal strength using an AirPort Extreme card (b/g/n) in a MacBook Pro against the BearExtender. 

Signal strength measurement was performed using AirRadar.

The MacBook Pro was running on battery power using the Energy Savings profile “Better Performance.” Bluetooth was disabled.
