Returning to eco-friendly packaging

Beginning this month we are returning to eco-friendly product retail packaging- brown boxes made of recycled materials, with simple product labels. These consume fewer resources than traditional full color boxes.
One thing we've also discovered over the years is the issue surplus boxes. Obviously product boxes aren't made in the same factory as our radio equipment- we do bulk production runs of boxes, and are sometimes left with surplus boxes when a product is discontinued or something needs to be changed. The brown-box model gives us more flexibility, as excess boxes can be used for different products. This means fewer cardboard boxes headed to recycling plants.
Our goal is to eventually ship products in reusable packaging, containers that may server other purposes. Our transition back to eco-friendly packaging marks the first step.
